A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

English
Psalm 100 invites communal worship with thanksgiving, remembering goodness, mercy, and faithfulness. Daily application makes gratitude an attentive response without ignoring difficulty. Nothing remarkable has happened today, yet I want to begin with thanks. An ordinary morning holds gifts. Worship can begin by noticing breath and breakfast. Begin with a small concrete response today: Give thanks for one ordinary gift before starting work. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.

Father, Nothing remarkable has happened today, yet I want to begin with thanks. Give me courage to face my feelings and patience to separate facts from assumptions. In Jesus' name, amen.
