English
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

English
Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. I have waited a long time and am losing patience. Perseverance does not suppress disappointment. Speak honestly in hope and care for today's responsibilities. Begin with a small concrete response today: Finish one small task possible today and leave time for rest. Responding to Scripture need not mean a grand decision. One achievable action today may be more honest than a vague promise to change.
