Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. I received help and hope to support another person. Receiving grace can awaken generosity. Passing on a blessing need not wait until we have much. Begin with a small concrete response today: Help one person within your capacity. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
