不要以恶报恶、众人以为美的事、要留心去作。 若是能行、总要尽力与众人和睦。 亲爱的弟兄、不要自己伸冤、宁可让步、听凭主怒．因为经上记着、『主说、伸冤在我．我必报应。』 所以『你的仇敌若饿了、就给他吃．若渴了、就给他喝．因为你这样行、就是把炭火堆在他的头上。』 你不可为恶所胜、反要以善胜恶。

Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

罗马书 12 劝勉信徒不报复，并在力所能及的范围寻求和平。这段也把审判交给神；应用时应区分和平、恢复亲近和保障安全。 争论新问题时，我又想拿过去的错误压倒对方。不报复也涉及怎样使用记忆。旧问题若仍需要处理，可以另外约时间，而不把它变成武器。 今天的一小步：把当前问题写成一句话，另行约定是否讨论旧事。 回顾不是给自己评分，而是看见哪里有一点变化、哪里仍然需要时间与别人的陪伴。成长可以缓慢，也可以寻求帮助。

Romans 12 urges believers to refuse revenge and seek peace as far as possible, entrusting judgment to God. Application must distinguish peace, renewed closeness, and safety. During a new disagreement, I want to use an old mistake to win. Nonretaliation includes how memory is used. Unresolved history can be discussed separately rather than used as a weapon. A small step today: State the current issue in one sentence and separately agree whether to revisit the past. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
