Psalm 13 moves from cries during prolonged waiting toward trust in God's mercy. Lament and trust belong in the same psalm; grief need not be hidden before praying. While sorting a loved one's belongings, small objects bring back memories. Lament allows reluctance to let go. Sorting has no universal deadline; keeping or releasing an object does not measure love. A small step today: Sort one small box today and stop when tired. Do not rush to solve the whole situation. Notice your body, surroundings, and inner voice, and bring your present need before God.
