My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3 connects trust and humility with life's path. Wisdom literature shapes a direction for life rather than predicting that any particular choice will succeed. An arrangement that once fit no longer does, and changing it feels like failure. Wisdom responds to changed circumstances. Faithfulness can include adjustment when its effects are considered honestly. A small step today: Name three changes and discuss one adjustment with those involved. Responding to Scripture need not mean a grand decision. One achievable action today may be more honest than a vague promise to change.
