My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3 connects trust and humility with life's path. Wisdom literature shapes a direction for life rather than predicting that any particular choice will succeed. I chose a more fitting path but did not receive the approval I hoped for. Trust cannot be confirmed only through praise. Review reasons, responsibilities, and effects while leaving room to learn. A small step today: Record your reasons and set a review date. Responding to Scripture need not mean a grand decision. One achievable action today may be more honest than a vague promise to change.
