Psalm 23 portrays care through images of a shepherd and a host without avoiding dark paths. Applying it to health seeks presence and provision, not a guarantee that every illness will heal as expected. After days of caregiving, I find patience harder to sustain. Care includes recognizing your limits. Asking for provision may mean arranging someone else to cover a period of care. A small step today: Discuss one shift or errand someone else can cover so you can rest.

Father, After days of caregiving, I find patience harder to sustain. Help me see my needs and responsibilities through your word. Care includes recognizing your limits. Asking for provision may mean arranging someone else to cover a period of care. Give me courage to respond: Discuss one shift or errand someone else can cover so you can rest. Help me trust where things remain uncertain and receive fitting company. In Jesus' name, amen.
