Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. A friend's difficulty remains unresolved, and I fear having nothing left to say. Sustained love can be a steady, small act of care. Company need not explain everything; it can preserve daily support. A small step today: Ask which day a contact would be welcome and follow through. Responding to Scripture need not mean a grand decision. One achievable action today may be more honest than a vague promise to change.
