English
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

English
Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. I can do less than usual today and am tempted to call myself useless. Hope can coexist with limits. Accurate capacity lets patience become a supported way of life rather than solitary endurance. A small step today: Do one small necessary task and ask the appropriate person to share the rest. Prayer does not require a performance of calm. Name gratitude, fear, questions, and hope in turn, and leave room for silence.

English
Father, I can do less than usual today and am tempted to call myself useless. I come in my own words; even when they are unfinished, hear me. In Jesus' name, amen.
