Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. I notice someone's small progress but leave it unspoken because it seems minor. Sincere love notices real, small changes. Encouragement can be specific without exaggerating outcomes. A small step today: Name one effort you noticed and the help it provided. My situation also involves other people. Consider who needs to be heard, who can offer support, and which boundaries deserve respect.
