James 1 invites those lacking wisdom to ask God in the context of trials. Wisdom includes responsible action amid difficulty as well as information. A group assignment is due soon, but a few people carry most of the work. Wisdom includes practical cooperation. Naming tasks and obstacles creates room for a responsible arrangement. A small step today: Ask the group to confirm remaining tasks, owners, and delivery times. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.
