If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1 invites those lacking wisdom to ask God in the context of trials. Wisdom includes responsible action amid difficulty as well as information. A group assignment is due soon, but a few people carry most of the work. Wisdom includes practical cooperation. Naming tasks and obstacles creates room for a responsible arrangement. A small step today: Ask the group to confirm remaining tasks, owners, and delivery times. My situation also involves other people. Consider who needs to be heard, who can offer support, and which boundaries deserve respect.
