Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. This passage in Colossians places compassion, humility, patience, forgiveness, and gratitude within shared life. Its workplace application asks how these qualities shape everyday interaction. I notice a concern in a meeting but fear being disliked for disagreeing. Peaceful relationships also need responsible truthfulness. Questions, facts, and suggestions can communicate disagreement respectfully. A small step today: Prepare one fact-based question and a workable alternative. Prayer does not require a performance of calm. Name gratitude, fear, questions, and hope in turn, and leave room for silence.
