Proverbs 3 connects trust and humility with life's path. Wisdom literature shapes a direction for life rather than predicting that any particular choice will succeed. Delaying a decision leaves little room for thoughtful consideration. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Reserve time to check facts and time to seek counsel. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.
