My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Proverbs 3 connects trust and humility with life's path. Wisdom literature shapes a direction for life rather than predicting that any particular choice will succeed. New information appears after a decision, and changing course feels like failure. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Verify the impact, explain any adjustment, and take responsibility for its effects. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
