English
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. Without an official decision I spend each day guessing. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Confirm the official channel and keep one manageable daily responsibility while waiting. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.

As I reflect on “Waiting for an official notice”: What are facts, and what are still my guesses?

Father, Without an official decision I spend each day guessing. Give me courage to face my feelings and patience to separate facts from assumptions. In Jesus' name, amen.
