Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. An unfinished annual goal makes the whole year feel wasted. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Separate what is complete, needs adjustment, and no longer fits, then choose an honest next step. My situation also involves other people. Consider who needs to be heard, who can offer support, and which boundaries deserve respect.
