English
Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

English
Micah 6 asks how people approach God, then turns to justice, mercy, and humble walking. Devotion includes how neighbors are treated, alongside religious practice. Quieter people get no opening while I follow the loudest voices. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Invite someone not yet heard and respect their choice to pass. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.

English
As I reflect on “Whose turn to speak”: What are facts, and what are still my guesses?
One small step today
English
Write facts and guesses in two separate columns.

Father, Quieter people get no opening while I follow the loudest voices. Give me courage to face my feelings and patience to separate facts from assumptions. In Jesus' name, amen.
