Considering those unable to attend

SeekLight original

6:6–8 · Micah 6:6–8

English

Wherewith shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Reflecting in daily life · Devotional interpretation

English

Micah 6 asks how people approach God, then turns to justice, mercy, and humble walking. Devotion includes how neighbors are treated, alongside religious practice. Meeting arrangements overlook caregivers although decisions affect them. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Seek absent members' input and suggest a workable asynchronous option.

Prayer response

English

Father, Meeting arrangements overlook caregivers although decisions affect them. Help me face these feelings honestly and recognize responsibilities and limits. Help me begin here: Seek absent members' input and suggest a workable asynchronous option. Give me patience with unanswered questions and willingness to receive company. In Jesus' name, amen.
