Deuteronomy 6 addresses Israel about loving God and bringing teaching into daily life. Parenting application can begin with routines and conversation rather than treating faith as a knowledge exam. A child cries after losing, and I want to dismiss the disappointment. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Acknowledge the disappointment and later ask about one thing learned. Prayer does not require a performance of calm. Name gratitude, fear, questions, and hope in turn, and leave room for silence.
