A child asks a Scripture question I cannot answer, and I nearly silence it. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Welcome the question, admit uncertainty, and arrange to read the context together. My situation also involves other people. Consider who needs to be heard, who can offer support, and which boundaries deserve respect.
