But so shall it not be among you: but whosoever will be great among you, shall be your minister: And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all. This conversation in Mark concerns the disciples' desire for status. Jesus redefines greatness through service and illustrates the path through his own mission. A new volunteer waits because nobody has explained the task. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Introduce the coordinator, task steps, and a clear way to ask questions. Do not rush to solve the whole situation. Notice your body, surroundings, and inner voice, and bring your present need before God.
