This conversation in Mark concerns the disciples' desire for status. Jesus redefines greatness through service and illustrates the path through his own mission. While sharing a service story I nearly reveal details without consent. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Remove identifying private information and obtain clear consent before sharing. Do not rush to solve the whole situation. Notice your body, surroundings, and inner voice, and bring your present need before God.
