James 1 invites those lacking wisdom to ask God in the context of trials. Wisdom includes responsible action amid difficulty as well as information. A packed revision schedule makes any delay feel like total failure. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Keep needed breaks and choose three achievable tasks for today. My situation also involves other people. Consider who needs to be heard, who can offer support, and which boundaries deserve respect.
