A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

English
Psalm 100 invites communal worship with thanksgiving, remembering goodness, mercy, and faithfulness. Daily application makes gratitude an attentive response without ignoring difficulty. I often get distracted in worship and do not want to pretend otherwise. Distraction can be acknowledged honestly. Returning to God does not require perfect concentration. Begin with a small concrete response today: Take one quiet minute and return attention to the passage. Feelings deserve acknowledgment, but they are not the whole story. Distinguish what happened, your interpretation, and what remains unknown.

Father, I often get distracted in worship and do not want to pretend otherwise. Give me courage to face my feelings and patience to separate facts from assumptions. In Jesus' name, amen.
