A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

Someone helped me today, and I want to remember that kindness. Receiving help reminds us we are not alone. Gratitude can be expressed to God and to the helper. Begin with a small concrete response today: Thank your helper for one specific thing.

Father, Someone helped me today, and I want to remember that kindness. Be with me here and help me bring my feelings honestly before you. Receiving help reminds us we are not alone. Gratitude can be expressed to God and to the helper. Give me wisdom and courage to respond today: Thank your helper for one specific thing. While the outcome is uncertain, help me fulfill my responsibilities patiently and receive support from trustworthy people. Let my words and actions show love as I entrust what I cannot control to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
