A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

The difficulty has not passed, yet I want to speak to you from where I truly am. Worship in difficulty makes room for lament. Honesty belongs before God more than forced optimism. Father, The difficulty has not passed, yet I want to speak to you from where I truly am. Be with me here and help me bring my feelings honestly before you. Worship in difficulty makes room for lament. Honesty belongs before God more than forced optimism. Give me wisdom and courage to respond today: Write an honest prayer that leaves room for unresolved questions. While the outcome is uncertain, help me fulfill my responsibilities patiently and receive support from trustworthy people. Let my words and actions show love as I entrust what I cannot control to you. In Jesus' name, amen.
