If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1 invites those lacking wisdom to ask God in the context of trials. Wisdom includes responsible action amid difficulty as well as information. I have found that familiar answers are incomplete. Wisdom allows understanding to be revised. Admitting limits makes room for learning. Begin with a small concrete response today: Note one claim needing verification and consult a reliable source. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
