English
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.

English
Romans 12 connects sincere love, hope, patience, prayer, and hospitality. Perseverance need not mean solitary endurance; mutual care can sustain it as a way of life. A sustained effort has no visible result yet, and I question its worth. Hope and patience allow review. Perseverance can include company and honest consideration of a change in approach. A small step today: Name one responsibility fulfilled and review the next step with someone trusted. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
