English
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

English
Deuteronomy 6 addresses Israel about loving God and bringing teaching into daily life. Parenting application can begin with routines and conversation rather than treating faith as a knowledge exam. Seeing another child's progress, I start pushing my own. Teaching begins with knowing the child. Age, ability, and circumstances call for fitting care rather than one ranking. A small step today: Ask what your child is working on and affirm one specific effort. Prayer does not require a performance of calm. Name gratitude, fear, questions, and hope in turn, and leave room for silence.

English
As I reflect on “A child with a different pace”: What would I pray if I did not need to polish my words?

English
Write four short prayer lines: thanks, worry, request, and release.

English
Father, Seeing another child's progress, I start pushing my own. I come in my own words; even when they are unfinished, hear me. In Jesus' name, amen.
