This conversation in Mark concerns the disciples' desire for status. Jesus redefines greatness through service and illustrates the path through his own mission. A new volunteer waits because nobody has explained the task. Begin with what actually happened and distinguish your responsibilities. A faithful response can unfold through honest words and a concrete action. A practice for today: Introduce the coordinator, task steps, and a clear way to ask questions. Review is not a scorecard. Notice small changes, what still needs time, and where another person's company may help. Growth can be slow.
